More tail feathers

crew.jpgleading-edge-tape.jpgI think we are dragging out this tail feather construction a bit too far. Tonight we put some leading edge pinked seam tape on the leading edges and over the cemented seams. It was not a hard job, just the first time we have ever done anything like that. Why do I feel like that last statement might be repeating itself over and over again in the next couple of years?

This afternoon the factory confirmed that the fuselage and wings for our new plane were all assembled (as much as they do anyway) and that it should be all crated and ready to ship by next week!

polybrush2.jpgI’ve been spacing out the tail feather construction so that I will have something Challenger II related to do while waiting. polybrush1.jpg

Talked to the factory last week, they said the plane was all constructed, now they need to gather all of the pieces together, crate it up and call the trucking company. Even that little bit of info gives me hope!

Jean and my customary activity on the 4th of July has been to fly to Eastport for the pancake breakfast at the airport. This year we might go, gotta drive. 😦
