Half covered

Filed under: Uncategorized — pocomoonshine @ 7:13 pm

As of this picture, the fuselage was half covered, first ironing done, and ready for the other side.

As of today, Sunday, both sides are covered, ironed, Poly-Brushed, reinforcing taped, and the drain grommets installed. Tomorrow, if things go well, I will do the final ironing to smooth out any wrinkles in the tape and reinstall the landing gear. Once those two items are checked off, the fuselage is ready for the paint shop !!!

large snow shoe

Filed under: Uncategorized — pocomoonshine @ 11:14 am

After moving the fuselage and all of the associated parts and pieces to the garage, the panel removed, the heater installed and the whole fuselage gone over to make sure everything is in its place, the covering is started. Turned upside down and covered with fabric, the bottom looks slightly like a snow shoe. (I know, the heat must be getting to me.)

Bottom is now ironed and clear coat of Poly-brush put on.

Draped to trying to figure out which piece of fabric goes where.
